Madison Connor is about to lose it. Her job, that is.

When her workaholic boss, Dominic Hartley, announces that his latest promotion is taking him and his daughter, Tilly, to New York, Madison’s live-in babysitter job is on the line. But it’s not just impending unemployment that’s troubling her.

After a heated fight changes Madison and Dominic’s relationship forever, Madison is forced to ask herself whether it’s really just Tilly she’s going to miss, or if there’s more to her feelings for Dominic than she ever realised.

If I Let You Go edition by Kyra Lennon Literature Fiction eBooks

Nanny Madison Connor has just learned that she's about to lose the job she's had for three years when her employer Dominic Hartley tells her he's taking his daughter (Tilly) and moving to New York. He doesn't expect her to pick up her life and leave the country to accompany them. Both Madison and five year old Tilly have feelings of loss, and Madison and Dom's argument over what's in Tilly's best interest has unexpected consequences and new feelings for each other start to bloom.

This was a very sweet and relaxing read. It's got a lot of the ingredients I require for a successful romantic novella-length story. Madison works really well as the book's only POV; she's strong willed, capable and intelligent. However, I have to say: Dom had a lot of internal struggle going on in this story, and not seeing his thought process and how he dealt with what he's going through kind of hurt this for me. I would really have liked having Dom be more present in this.

It's not overly complicated or convoluted with drama, it's simple enough to be relaxing and pleasing. I would recommend this for a nice, quick read.

*For those wondering if this is a "clean" romance... I guess it depends on your definition of clean; sex isn't completely absent. There is a sex scene but it's really tame, it's not too graphic or drawn out. It can easily be skipped.

If I Let You Go edition by Kyra Lennon Literature Fiction eBooks Reviews

What a fun, heartwarming, SEXAY story! Wow! D

I loved watching Maddi and Dominic's relationship change. Maddi is so sweet with Tilly (Dom's daughter), and at times I wanted to shake Dom and make him open his eyes!!!

I also wanted to know more about Neil! He's totally Joe Manganiello in my head. (But Dom's still my new book boyfriend... ;o) The ending left me wanting more. *wink*

A great read--don't miss this one!
*3 1/2 stars*

I liked the characters of Madison, Tilly and Dominic. They had an interesting, familial dynamic that was sweet. I liked how Madison and Dominic were able to finally communicate with each other whether they were fighting or not. The fighting probably helped them to really see how they felt about each other and Tilly's situation. Nothing like a turn of events to send up sparks. I felt the passion between them. While certain aspects of their backstory were explored, I felt the characters and storyline still lacked a bit of depth that I would have liked to have seen and read more about (Tilly's mom, Dominic's work, Madison's education/degree and why she's a long-term nanny, etc). All in all a quick, easy, sweet read.
Madison has taken care of Dominic’s daughter, Tilly, for years since his wife is out of the picture. She’s alarmed when Dominic tells her that soon she'll lose her position because he’s moving to New York for his job. The news isn’t going well with Tilly and Madison is the only person who can calm her down. Madison and Dominic argue over the move and her role in their lives. Things become heated and feelings can’t be denied. Madison wonders if the two are meant to be with each other or if Dominic mainly sees her as a mother figure for Tilly. This was an interesting nanny-employer relationship without being sleazy in the least bit. The romance was both hot and sweet, and I loved Dominic and Madison’s devotion towards Tilly.
An endearing novella, IF I LET YOU GO by Kyra Lennon has a lot of heart.

For three years, Madison Connor has taken care of and loved Dominic Hartley's daughter Tilly. Dominic decides to move Tilly with him to New York, not thinking what it would do to Madison. She has to face life without a job, a purpose, and the people she's grown to care about the most. She'll have to find a way to move on, but can she let go?

IF I LET YOU GO is such a touching story. Madison and Tilly's relationship is wonderful. I love how Madison has become a mother to Tilly, even if she's supposed to be just the nanny. Dominic's drive to do all he can for his daughter is commendable, even if what she really needs him rather than items. Then, the intensity between Dominic and Madison sizzles and is so delicious. The reader cheers for them and hopes everything will work out. Lennon creates a realistic story that tugs on a reader's heartstrings.

With a fast-paced plot and relatable characters, Kyra Lennon's IF I LET YOU GO is a must read.
Madison has been caring for Tilly for three years and Tilly is about to be ripped from her fingers. She's grown to love the little girl as her own. Dominic thinks he knows what is right for his daughter, but he hasn't been listening since he's been obsessed with his career. He's about to find out what it means to finally raise his daughter. If he doesn't change his mind, it isn't going to be pleasant.

The relationship between Madison and Dominic is steamy and intense. It's not cookie-cuter where a nanny has been in love with her employer for years. She hasn't. Madison even has steamy relations with Neil, the mysterious character I wanted to know a bit more about. I love that the two of them have real fights! They are passionate and Madison is not afraid to voice her opinions! She's a strong character and I really enjoyed reading about her.

The story did need a little more depth - I wanted to know a bit more about Dominic and his past. The reader doesn't get a lot of background on Madison either and I'm not exactly sure how old she was. The whole book was written very well! The characters were fairly well-rounded and it was a book I couldn't put down! I started it and found myself staying up until early in the morning to finish! Also, I enjoyed Tilly's character - she's a spunky little girl and she knows what she wants. Very typical of a five-year-old!

"If I Let You Go" is an entertaining story with passion, romance, and temper-tantrums on all sides. I would recommend this to others as a short and sweet, contemporary romance!
